A. GSOP VIII - $3,250,000 GUARANTEED PRIZE POOL
There's absolutely something in store for everybody! A guaranteed prize pool of $3,250,000 is spread out across 19 different events. There will be an event everyday starting at 20:00 CET, and an exciting Turbo or Mad Tilt tournament every Sunday at 21:30 CET. Main events will be primarily No Limit Texas Hold'em, but will also offer Texas Hold'em limit, Texas Hold'em Pot limit, Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha hi/lo events.
Each GSOP main event winner takes home a Grand Slam Final ticket and also earns points towards a leaderboard, where the first placer receives a free entry to the $5,000 buy-in Grand Slam Final. The remaining top 100 finishers on the leaderboard will be entered into one of the three exclusive freeroll qualifiers - the winners of each also earning a seat to the final event. Still don't have a ticket? Don't worry! A $50 buy-in Last Chance Qualifier will be held on March 18 at 17.45 CET, granting six more tickets to the Grand Slam Final! B. GSOP Mini - $600,000 GUARANTEED PRIZE POOL
Similar to the structure of GSOP VIII, the GSOP Mini series will feature a total of 19 events, all
leading towards the final showdown on March 18, 2011 – the Grand Slam Mini Final. Everyday during the period, there will be a new event starting at 20:00 CET and on Sundays there is a Turbo or Mad Tilt tournament starting at 21:30 CET. Events included are: No Limit Texas Hold'em, Texas Hold'em limit, Texas Hold'em Pot limit, Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha hi/lo events.
On top of winning huge cash prizes, each event winner also receives a free entry to the Grand Slam Mini tournament, giving you the chance to take home the GSOP Mini crown. Feeling left out because you didn't win any events? Don't be! The overall leaderboard winner will take home a Grand Slam Mini ticket, while remaining top 100 placers will get a chance to compete for three more tickets to the Grand Slam Mini Final event with a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000. And if you still don't have a ticket, then it's time to enter the Last Chance Qualifiers on March 18th at 17:45 CET, where 10 tickets to the Grand Slam Mini Final are up for grabs. C. Sidebets
Are you ready for a more improved and exciting sidebet? Get playing at GSOP VIII and enjoy raising the stakes with other high rollers! Players can participate in a Sidebet event with a buy-in of $1000+0. To spice up this year's GSOP Sidebet, a $500+25 ticket for the $500,000 guaranteed GSOP Event 17 will be awarded to the winner of the Sidebet Registration tournament. Note that the Sidebets are commission free, which means players can bet on their own poker skills.
The GSOP Sidebet Registration will run as a Mad Tilt Tournament held at 19:00 CET, 26th February with a 500+25 ticket added to the winner, and it will also award everyone the same ticket, 'GSOP Sidebet'. All players having a GSOP Sidebet ticket will compete for the best position in the GSOP leaderboard. At the end of the last GSOP event on March 11, the sidebet players with the highest scores in the leaderboard will win their share of the sidebet prize pool.
