Hollywood Poker’s Private Tournaments are the perfect way to enjoy your favorite game with your favorite people. When you set up a Private Tournament, you control the experience. Invite who you want, set the stakes, select a time, choose the type of tournament and much more.
Read on to learn the ins and outs of Private Tournaments.
1. How do I create a Private Tournament?
To create a Private Tournament you must be real money activated. If you're not, simply go to your ‘My Account' page and click ‘Real Money Enable' – that's it! Now you're on to bigger and better things.
Steps to Creating Your Private Tournament:
1. Sign-in to your Hollywood Poker account.
2. Click ‘Go To Table' – located at the upper right-hand corner of your screen.
3. Select ‘Tournament' as your game format.
4. Select the ‘Private' tab and click ‘ Create Tournament'.
5. There are TWO tournament types which you can choose from: Scheduled and Sit ‘n' Go . Select which type you would like to create.
6. From this point, simply pick your tournament preferences from the drop-down menus. Once you are finished, click ‘Create'.
7. Your tournament is automatically named after you – the administrator – and it will appear in the lobby within one minute of being successfully created.
And finally...
Contact your friends, family, co-workers (whoever!) and tell them they're invited to your Private Tournament. E-mail, phone, send a messenger pigeon – do what you've got to do to make sure they know they've made your A-list. Be sure to send the players you've invited the password.
2. How do I start a Private Tournament?
Starting a Scheduled Private Tournament
Your tournament will automatically begin at the designated start time.
Starting a Sit ‘n' Go Private Tournament You may start the tournament when the number of players signed-in has reached the minimum player requirement.
3. How do I cancel a Private Tournament?
Canceling a Scheduled Private Tournament
Your Scheduled Private Tournament can be cancelled if:
- There are no players signed-in, in which case, you can terminate the tournament.
- The tournament reaches its start date without having the minimum number of players signed-in. In this case, the tournament is automatically cancelled and you may create a new tournament for another time.
Canceling a Sit ‘n' Go Private Tournament
Your Sit ‘n' Go Private Tournament can be cancelled if:
- There are not enough players signed-in, in which case you can cancel the tournament.
- There are no players signed up within an hour from the start-time, in which case the tournament will automatically be cancelled.
- There are too few players signed-up for the tournament to start automatically, in which case, the tournament will be cancelled within 12 hours.
