Accessing the Hollywood Poker Games
Help >> Acessing the Hollywood Poker Games
1. How do I sign up for a Hollywood Poker account?
It's easy! Just enter your information on our sign-up page, follow the instructions, and within minutes you'll be ready to start playing!
2. What software do I need to play the Hollywood Poker games?
You can play our games directly from your web browser (Internet Explorer/Netscape/Firefox/AOL/Safari etc.). Since our games are java-based, we suggest you download the latest version of the Java plug-in so your game runs smoothly.
3. Why can't I see the games? All I see is a grey square.
The most likely reason you can't see the games is because you don't have Java installed on your computer. You can download java, or test your browser's Java capabilities on our Java & SSL Test page.
4. What happens if I'm disconnected from a game?
When playing on the Internet there's always a risk of being disconnected, and this is not always dependent on your modem speed. If the connection between your ISP and our server is momentarily dropped, you can be disconnected from your game, but not from the Internet. Unfortunately, this is something beyond our control.
We try to reduce the effects as far as possible, for instance by transferring players on auto-pilot mode in tournaments or providing "All-in Protection" in poker ring (regular) games. You can read more about these under the Software and connections section.
5. Can my friend and I play from the same computer?
Yes, you can. However, for security reasons, we allow only one account per player and one Real Money account per household.
6. What operating systems do you support?
You can play Hollywood Poker from Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, XP, Mac OS 9, OS X and even Linux.
