Hand History
It is important to note that hand history files are only available for the Download versions of our software and not the web client version.
For each new session initiated, a file is automatically generated which contains all the players hand history. Thousands of hands are stored locally on the players’ operating system in this way.
The hand history files are stored in a separate "handhistory" directory itself which resides in the logs directory. Log files are created numerically and up to 100s of files can be created, the very first 100 files created will remain until the 101st file is written, in this case the player will have files numbered from 2 -101. When another file is generated the player will have files numbered 3- 102 and so forth.
An individual log file can hold 4MB of text, and if exceeded it will continue onto the next number automatically.
Any hand the player was issued pockets cards in is stored in the hand history file as text and is easily readable. The language used in the text file is English, no matter the preference selected by the player.
Hand history files are stored in the following folders
- Windows Download Client: C:\Documents and Settings\%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\HollywoodPoker\handhistory
- MAC Client: /Users/<User Home Dir>/.P5/HollywoodPoker/handhistory
Players are able to use any of the approved third party software applications such as PokerOffice, PokerTracker or Texas Calculatem. PokerTracker and Texas Calculatem, for example, are programs that provide detailed statistical analysis of hand histories for beneficial review. As well as personal game play analysis, these programs also compile and profile a player's opponents' play.
Please contact our support team for a full list of acceptable programs, since not all programs available, are permitted.

Questions & Answers for Tournament Play during the P5 Transitional Period
1. Why am I seeing fewer players at the tables?
Players are migrated to the new and improved poker software platform in batches where some players will be playing on the new platform while others are still playing on the old. Therefore, during the P5 transitional period, as players migrate to the new P5 Poker Software, both players and tournaments are split between old and new software platforms. The number of tournaments and guarantees offered need to be adjusted to reflect this. This is only temporary and is in effect only during the P5 transitional period.
2. I have tournament tickets in my account. What happens to them?
We have extended the expiry date of your tournament tickets with an additional 30 days to give you a chance to play in your favorite tournaments in the new P5 Poker Software with the guarantee you're used to.
3. I have a ticket to ... that I can't find? I have a ticket to a tournament but I can't find the tournament. What do I do?
You will be able to use all tickets paid in our network satellites. Even though we reduce the number of tournaments, players will always have the option to register for a tournament with their ticket. This goes for all generic tickets.
4. Why are there fewer tournaments to play?
We are offering tournaments on both the old and new software platforms during the P5 transitional period. During the P5 transitional period, as players migrate to the new P5 Poker Software, both tournament offerings are split between old and new software platforms. The number of tournaments offered in each platform need to be adjusted to reflect this. This is only temporary and is in effect only during the P5 transitional period.
5. Where are all the Sit & Go players?
During the P5 transitional period there will seem to be fewer players at the Sit & Go tables because not all players are playing together on the same software platform.
6. Why have the guarantees in tournaments been lowered?
During the transition there will be fewer users playing together on the same platform and therefore we have to adjust the tournament offerings and schedule accordingly. When we have fewer players playing per platform, the guarantees have to be lowered.
7. Will the big, branded tournaments be affected?
Any 'branded' tournament, e.g. "Brazil Re-buy", "ChampionChip" or "The Euro Grand Prix" will be kept throughout the P5 transitional period. All guarantees are subject to change during transition.
8. When will regular tournament offerings return? All 'branded' tournaments such as "$50,000 European Re-buy", "ChampionChip" and "The Euro Grand Prix" will return immediately after the P5 transitional period. Guarantees for smaller tournaments will be adjusted accordingly once all players have been migrated and are playing together on a single software platform again.

Also, should a tournament be password protected the password dialog box will appear in the registration window.

2. How do I know if my registration has been successful?
If you have successfully registered, your nickname will appear in the information pane; nicknames are either sorted by alphabetical order or order of registration.

You can unregister from a tournament at any time before the tournament begins and the buy-in amount will be refunded into your account instantly.
Important: Once a tournament begins you cannot register and you cannot unregister. Generally, refunds are not offered to players who were unable to either participate in the tournament or did not un-register in time because all player buy-ins contribute to the prize pool, the same house rules apply to any land-based poker tournament.
