Among the 7,319 hopefuls who battled it out for the 2010 World Series of Poker championship, with almost 150 gold bracelet winners, 18 former world poker champions, amateur and professional poker players from 92 nations, only nine have emerged almost savoring the taste of victory. This year's November Nine has been revealed and three different nations are still alive: Canada, Italy, and the United States.
Day Eight concluded the Main Event and after 17 long hours, whittled 27 survivors to the final nine. Play was nine-handed until it reached 10 players and was temporarily combined to a 10-handed table. It was played for six levels, with each level lasting two hours long.
Brandon Steven, a 35-year old owner of an automobile dealership unfortunately ended up as the bubble player in the tournament. He lost holding an AcKs, which Matthew Jarvis cracked with a QcQs. The consolation prize was $635,011. The elimination of Brandon Steven left the nine final players who are as follows:

Each Novermber Nine finalist will receive $811,823 in guaranteed prize money. Starting November 6th, 2010, the championship table's initial session will trim down the nine finalists down to the last two survivors, who will return two days later to play heads-up. They will compete for all additional cash and this year's winner will bring home $8,944,138 in prize money. The payouts are as follows:
