The Delaware Lottery recently made a move that will bring the latest in video gambling technology to Midway Slots and Simulcast at the Harrington Raceway. The move is the latest in the $35 million reconstruction and expansion of Midway Slots and Simulcast, and these electronic versions of multi-player games will be housed in the area formerly known as The Carousel Lounge.
It is estimated that Midway Slots and Simulcast will add 60 of the new player stations to their 1,581 machines already in use. It will take a little while for the red tape and transaction to go through, but officials are guessing the machines will be use by September. The machines have received a lot of attention from the gaming media and are expected to become rather popular in the near future.
"As manager, we continue to work with our partner, Harrington Raceway, to improve the product at this facility so as to bring the best entertainment to our patrons and maximize the return to our investors," explained Andre M. Hilliou, the CEO of Full House, the group that runs Slots and Simulcast.
In addition to the new video gaming machines, the gambling facility has made a series of other upgrades. There will be a new 300-seat-multi-purpose room, upgrades in food and bar services and an upgrade in parking.
"We are very happy that the Lottery approved these new and entertaining games, which will offer added excitement and variety to the entertainment experience we offer. At Midway, we strive to offer our customers the best and most popular games."
