Lake Charles, Louisianna will be home to a brand new state-of-art-casino. Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. announced that the company plans to build a new $350 million casino resort in the area. The new casino will be built adjacent to the famous L'Auberge du Lac Hotel & Casino, on the site of the Harrah's Lake Charles facility which was mostly destroyed by the hurricane.
Sugarcane Bay will have a laid-back southern Caribbean feel to its theme. The resort will have 400 guest rooms and suites, all of which will have a great view of the neighboring Contraband Bayou.
There will be a great deal of activities to try at Sugarcane Bay, there will be 1,500 slot machines, a poker room and plenty of table games, all with a great view of the local scenery. A casino and resort like the Sugercane Bay would not be complete without some luxury. There will be world-class restaurants, retail shopping, retail shopping and a tropical pool. The casino will be connected to the existing L'Auberge du Lac Hotel & Casino.
Construction on the new Sugarcane Bay Casino will begin in 2007 with an opening planned for 2009.
