A new and exciting patent, filed by Darryl Green of Original Deal, Inc was published on Sept 14th, 2006. The concept should bring a more real sensation to online poker players and perhaps more importantly, allow them to play with live poker players at brick and mortar casinos.
The technology uses radio frequency identification devices (RFID) that are placed within cards and casino chips. Essentially, these identification devices allow the online poker player to know what cards he has been dealt through the use of electronic sensors. That online player can then make their decisions which are carried out by the dealer at the live game, in the brick and mortar casino.
It could be two years before Green knows whether he has been awarded the patent or not.
