Some of the biggest players in the gaming industry will be hitting the links at the end of April to raise money for National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG). The 8th Annual JCM/AGA Golf Classic will bring some of the gaming industry’s biggest executives to the Anthem Country Club in Henderson, Nev., on April 24. The tournament has raised more than $425,000.00 for the NCRG since 1998. This includes the $75,000.00 the tournament raised last year.
"This is an extremely important event for us. The work we do progresses every day, and we have made significant strides in research and education. However, as gaming continues to spread across the U.S., our mission grows in tandem. We are grateful to JCM American and the American Gaming Association for sharing our vision and helping to move our mission forward," explained Dennis E. Eckart, the chairman of the NCRG.
A day at the JCM/AGA Golf Classic will cost $325 for entry and $1,400 for a foursome; all of the money goes towards the NCRG and their important work.
Since 1996, the NCRG has been one of the leaders in helping gambling addictions. The charity uses the funds they raise to support cutting-edge research into the understanding and prevention of gambling addictions. Since its inception the NCRG has raised $13 million and has issued more than $8 million in research money towards various gambling addiction researchers.
"We are very pleased to continue our relationship with the AGA in supporting the National Center for Responsible Gaming. We have seen direct results of the organization's efforts, and we are proud to be a part of their important work," said Aki Isoi, president of JCM, one of the event’s main sponsors.
