Barry Shulman, CEO of Card Player Media, says "The North American Poker Tour (NAPT), to be known as The IPA Tour, has a number of things working in its favor and I believe the IPA Tour will make it." Mr. Shulman praised the company's chances, mentioning that they were well funded. He went on to compliment the quality of the management team, and said that since the players enjoy the event, this should translate well to the viewing audience. "This is a huge attraction for most players, especially with the costs of buy-ins for events being so high… Simply put, a player-friendly environment means more excitement for the cameras. Television viewers will ultimately win in the end," concluded Shulman. NAPP Tour also plans to broadcast its professional events on National Television throughout 2006 and 2007, sponsoring the VH1 Classic Rock-Roll Charity Poker Tournament, the first televised poker contest ever to feature music artists.
