Like many of you, Hollywood Poker wanted to do something to help the thousands of people who were devastated by Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf Coast. During the month of October we matched the prize pool of every Michael Woods Celebrity Invitational tournament and every Hollywood Poker Celebrity Classic tournament.
Together we helped two great charities in their quest to aid those in need with half the money we raised going to the American Red Cross and their efforts in the region. The other half went towards Hollywood Poker player Dennis Quaid's International Hospital for Children Foundation. The IHC worked in the hurricane effected area to make sure children of all backgrounds received proper healthcare, something that was vital during the time. We at Hollywood Poker would like to thank you for assisting those in need.
