Five Texas residents are finding themselves in trouble after the police shut down their home casino operation. The Collin County Grand Jury indicted the five individuals for operating an underground poker room. The authorities became aware of the McKinney poker operation earlier this year. It is reported that the house took a percentage of the pot during the games and the games were for profit.
McKinney Police Captain John Duscio said undercover officers were invited to join an illegal poker game and found that the house was taking a 10 percent rake during the games.
At the end of it, five were indicted on two felony counts of engaging in organized criminal activity and two of those people were indicted on two felony counts of engaging in organized criminal activity.
