Chris Bell already won a World Series of Poker bracelet and now he adds a win in the WSOP Circuit Regional Championship in Atlantic City to his list of accolades. Bell collected $358,000 in prize money, with the coveted Gold Ring given to World Series of Poker Circuit champions.
The 136 – poker player field created a prize pool amounting to $1,136,128. Bell made his move en route to victory as he put up a masterful performance over the entire tournament, including a determined and well-focused effort. His final table began with cautious optimism to some formidable competition in the end.
Second place finisher Chris Klodnicki's remaining chips hit the middle of the table with 6-4 on the flop of 5-3-6 for top pair and a 2-way straight draw. Bell tabled with pocket threes for bottom set, which held a nine and a queen when the turn and river came, respectively. The stacks were counted after the river card to make sure that Klodnicki was in fact eliminated and that he, a former gold ring winner, earned $221,000 for second place.
