Marvin Rettenmaier took down the 2010 Spanish Poker Tour Grand Finale in Costa Brava, Spain. A total of 120 players created a EUR 300,000 prize pool with Rettenmaier taking home EUR 111,000 for the win.
Rettenmaier started as the chipleader of the pack at the final table. He was able to maintain his advantage from the beginning of the tournament to end. Rettenmaier played patiently and was not afraid to stir up a bit when any of his opponents tried to steal his big blind. The final headsup play between second placer Claire Renault and Rettenmaier was a short affair as the duel started with the latter having a rough 10:1 chiplead. He eliminated 5 of his 8 final opponents and completely dominated the action.
