The Italian Poker Tour San Remo 3 took place at the Casino Sanremo. As the final table got underway December 14th, 2010, Caponnetto held the lead, followed by Riccardo Lacchinelli. Caponnetto had QcTc on a 3hJc3c board. He went all-in and realised that he was behind Lacchinelli's 3d2s. The turn missed both players but the 8c on the river gave Caponnetto a flush and his win.
Antonio Caponnetto won the 2010 Italian Poker Tour San Remo 3 with a prize pool of EUR 663,420, after defeating a field of 342 players over five days and taking down the title with the EUR 170,000 first place prize. Lacchinelli placed second and took home EUR 110,000.
