As of February, HollywoodPoker will be raising its big stack Grand Tournament guarantee to $750,000! The no-limit hold'em tournament will be played out with its normal 3-day flight structure between February 22nd and 24th. All starting times are at 20:00 CET or 14:00 EST.
To qualify for the Grand Tournament, players can buy-in for $1,000+40 or advance through the many daily qualifier tournaments for as little as a $1+0.20 buy-in. |

Celebrity Bounty Series Update |

 Once again, HollywoodPoker's celebrities and players came out in force at the celebrity bounty tournaments.
mosquitobzzs won $500 when he took out 4 celebrities on January 15th's Canadian Poker Night. In the final bounty, both MO and mosquitobzzs had all diamonds on the flop but the latter held the higher card.
Other celebrities whom mosquitobzzs took out earlier were Christopher Rich (Reba), Tony Denison (The Closer) and Chris Redman (88: 88 Minutes).
Ken Howard (Rambo), Tony Griffin (Entertainment Tonight), Shaun Toub (Iron Man), Samm Levine (Made For Each Other), Josh Malina (Big Shots), Stephen Rannazzisi (Big Day), Kane Hodder (Hack!), Seth Meyers, Mimi Rogers (The Loop) and Erik Palladino were also seen at the tables.
 At the January 20th HollywoodPoker Celebrity Classic, player KAUKO took out Jimmie Walker (Everybody Hates Chris), Kane Hodder, Stephen Rannazzisi (Big Day) and Chris Redman for the final bounty.
In the showdown with Chris Redman, KAUKO had the better hole-pair of tens versus Redman's eights to emerge as the winner of $500.
Others stars hitting the tables last week included Tom McGowan (The War at Home), Ronny Cox (NowhereLand), Tony Griffin, Rocky Carroll (Yes Man), Yancey Arias (Live Free or Die Hard), Willie Garson (Sex and the City), Billy Burke(Untraceable), Seth Meyers (Saturday Night Live), Kato Kaelin (Revamped), Erik Palladino (The Speed of Thought) and Kevin Pollak (Shark).
 At the Michael Woods Celebrity Invitational on January 19th, joejoe_57 received $250 for knocking out Tony Griffin, Kane Hodder and Chris Redman. In the showdown with Chris Redman who went all-in at the pre-flop, joejoe_57's 2-A gave him an Ace-high diamond flush against Chris Redman's King diamond.

 Meet our latest celebrity player Rocky Carroll who will appear in a new Jim Carrey movie called Yes Man due out this summer.
Based on the memoir by Danny Wallace, the movie is about a guy who challenges himself into saying "Yes" to everything for an entire year.
Carroll moved to Los Angeles in 1990 after a successful run on Broadway in The Piano Lesson. Since his film and TV career kicked off, Carroll has shown his range and talent in a variety of roles and has proven equally adept at scene-stealing supporting parts in sitcoms.
His first television role was playing the part of Joey on the television series Roc (Fox, 1991-94). He also had a starring role as Dr Keith Wilkes in the TV series Chicago Hope. Carroll has guest starred in several other TV programs including The Agency, Boston Legal, Family Law, The West Wing and Law & Order.
Carroll has also had roles in many Hollywood films such as Born on the Fourth of July, The Ladies Man, Crimson Tide, The Great White Hype, A Prelude to a Kiss, The Chase and Best Laid Plans.

 HollywoodPoker's celebrity players Willie Garson (Sex and The City: The Movie) and Tony Denison (The Closer) will be at the tables for The Poker Celebrity Bowl, hosted by Major League Baseball player Royce Clayton and benefitting the Royce Clayton Family Foundation.
 Scheduled to take place on February 1, half of the prize pool will go to charity while the rest of it will be awarded to the top 10 finishers. The winner will also receive a $10,000 seat into the World Series of Poker while all top 10 players will also get cash prizes.
Also scheduled to participate are celebrities Dondre Whitfield, Montel Williams, and poker pros Robert Williamson III, Jamie Gold and Annie Duke. Billy Burke stars alongside Diane Lane in psycho-thriller Untraceable

 Billy Burke plays as a Portland police detective Eric Box who joins forces with Diane Lane in Untraceable, a story of an intrepid agent in the FBI's cyber-crime unit who is on the virtual trail of a psychopath who broadcasts his grisly torture killings on the Web.
Untraceable, which opens this week, is a film with a clever hook - a serial killer puts his captives on a Web site and their fates depend on how many hits the Web site gets. Needless to say, several of them die.
Burke was born and raised in Bellingham, Washington. He began singing at age nine, and joined a band at age fifteen. He continued to work with bands and study/performing drama at Western Washington University.
He made his feature film debut in the independent film Dare Dreamer, and then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in singing and acting. He has since appeared in such films as Mafia!, Marshal Law, and Roman Paris. He has also made guest appearances on such television shows as Party of Five and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Burke was recently seen opposite Anthony Hopkins in Fracture and with Morgan Freeman in Feast of Love.

2007 HollywoodPoker Calendar Girl Shana Prevette crowned Miss Planet Beach International |

 Meet one of HollywoodPoker 2007 Calendar Girls Shana Prevette who was recently crowned Miss Planet Beach International 2008.
The Miss Planet Beach competition is an annual, international pageant that provides unique opportunities for young women exhibiting an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for personal self-improvement.
The 5'6" 25-year-old Prevette hails from North Carolina. "I have been a swimsuit and print model for the past six years and am came up on the end of a great year as a spokesmodel for HollywoodPoker in 2007," said Prevette.
"Luckily I have been crowned Miss Planet Beach International therefore I will be traveling as their spokesmodel for 2008," she added. Prevette has also recently been crowned Miss Hawaiian Tropic United States.
