Sic Bo literally means dice pair, originating hundreds of years ago in China it has gained millions of fans since debuting on European and North American shores. Easy and exciting to play, the object of this Casino favorite is to successfully bet on the numbers produced by the throw of three dice.
Betting starts before the dice are shaken with all bets settled when the dice come to a stop. Winning areas on the table become lit, so there's no mistaking a winning bet.
You can bet on a single number, a pair, a triple, the total, or various combinations of numbers coming up. The unique Sic Bo table is separated into eight betting areas, used by players to optimize returns.
An idea of how the separate betting areas work is as follows:
Small - If the total of the three dice thrown is anywhere from four to ten in total, bets places in the small betting area at the top left corner of the table will pay out 1 to 1.
Big - If the total of the three dice thrown is from eleven to seventeen in total, bets placed in the big betting area at the top right corner of the table will payout 1 to 1.
However, if a triple is thrown, bets both in the small and big are lost because between the small and big areas, lie the doubles and triples area. Here's how doubles and triples work:
Double - If a double is thrown, bets placed in this particular area will be paid out 11 to 1.
Triple - If a triple is thrown, bets placed in the triple betting area are pay out 180 to 1.
Any Triple - This betting area, found in the middle of the doubles and triples area payout 31 to 1 if any triple is thrown.
Total - Beneath the double and triple bet area is the total bet area, numbered from four to seventeen. Here you can place bets on the total sum of the three dice with the possible totals paying varying odds.
Pair - In this area just below the total bet area you are allowed to place bets on different combinations of two dice being thrown. Winning bet payout is at 6 to 1.
Number - the row right at the bottom of the table is reserved for single number's one to six bets. Payout for one die throw is at 1 to 1, if the number is thrown on two dice payout at 2 to 1 and if the number is thrown on three dice, payout is at 12 to 1.
