The E3 Expo brought together some of the greatest minds and products of the video game industry. But it was also an event that allowed Activision Publishing, Inc. a chance to show off their latest poker game. The gaming company has high hopes of bringing players to world’s biggest international poker stage: the World Series of Poker. ‘World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions’ is a sequel to Activision’s previous WSOP game.
This time around, the game features twice as many professional poker players, more poker tips, and the Digimask tool. The Digimask brings players to the WSOP by allowing them to have an in-game character’s appearance based on their own face by inputting a mug shot of their own.
Players in the game begin as emerging professional poker players trying to make their way to professional poker fame via the World Series of Poker. With a journey like this, it helps to have some guidance, and that’s what Chris "Jesus" Ferguson provides by leading players though the game. The strategies that Chris "Jesus" Ferguson teaches can be transplanted from the video game world to the real-life or online poker table.
"This is the most authentic and realistic World Series of Poker video game to ever hit the shelves," explained Jeffrey Pollack, the World Series of Poker commissioner.
‘World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions’, will be released in the X Box 360 and other gaming platforms this fall.
