Scott Clements
Scott Clements is a Mount Vernon, WA resident, and he's known as an Omaha player - at least, he is now. After defeating the likes of Thor Hansen and Phil Hellmuth, Clements is now a name to remember. This wasn't Clements first WSOP event, in fact he walked away with some cash in the 2005 WSOP $10,000 World Championship Event. It was, however, his first WSOP bracelet.
In the final hand - Thor Hansen called all in from the button for his last $15,000 and shows Jd 5d 4h 2h. Scott Clements turns over 10d 9s 6s 5s and the board comes 8s 4c 2s 7s 3d. Clements makes a spade flush for the high and 2-3-4-5-6 for the low. He scoops the pot and has eliminated Thor Hansen in second place ($155,443).
Scott Clements won the gold bracelet and earned $301,175. Not bad for a night's work.
