Russ Boyd
At the age of 12 when most kids are playing baseball, Russ “Dutch” Boyd was starting college. By the age of 18 Boyd had completed law school. After working in the online poker industry Russ “Dutch” Boyd decided he would devote himself to becoming a professional poker player, this is a move that has worked out well for him.
Last year’s World Series of Poker worked out really well for Russ “Dutch” Boyd, he finished second to T.J. Cloutier in the $1,500 Seven-Card Razz event and before that he finished in the money the 2003 WSOP Main Event. This year’s WSOP has worked out well for Russ “Dutch” Boyd, he has already won the World Series of Poker bracelet for the $2,500 Short-Handed No Limit Hold 'em event, beating Joe Hachem. The $475,712 for the WSOP event brought his 2006 winnings to over $700,000.
