Max Pescatori
The No Limit Texas Hold'em events always get a lot of attention at the World Series of Poker and this year’s $2,500 No Limit Hold'em was no exception. The tournament was packed with 1,290 players all going for the WSOP bracelet and the tournament's prize of $682,389, not a bad prize for a couple days of poker.
At the end of the day it was Max "The Italian Pirate" Pescatori who secured the top prize in this year’s $2,500 No Limit Hold'em poker tournament. Since focusing on poker as a career in 1999, Max Pescatori has made quite a name for himself, winning the 2003 World Poker Challenge's Omaha and Hold'em events, six money finishes in last year’s WSOP and his most recent win the $2,500 No Limit Hold'em tournament. So far Max Pescatori’s tournament winnings equal $1,500,000 this year.
