Mary Jones
Poker is not just for men. The amount of women playing poker is increasing everyday and this year’s World Series of Poker featured some of the best card-holding-ladies in Vegas. The best example of this was the 1128 women who showed up for the $1,000 Ladies No Limit Hold'em WSOP tournament.
Hollywood Poker loaded the WSOP event with some of Tinsel Town’s hottest stars. "Hollywood Poker Diamonds" team featured Mimi Rogers, Victoria Pratt, Kelly Hu, Anne Heche, Ricki Lake, Jean Smart, Mena Suvari, and Julie Jordan and they sat at the poker tables with poker’s best female players. Mimi Rogers proved that celebrities can play poker, by placing 33rd and winning $5,132, this made her the last celebrity standing.
The day belonged to Mary Jones and when it was all said and done she walked away with the $1,000 Ladies No Limit Hold'em WSOP tournament’s prize. In addition to winning her first World Series of Poker bracelet, Mary Jones was also able to enjoy the $236,094 that came with her win.
