Kianoush Abolfathi
Kianoush Abolfathi is a new-comer to the world of professional poker, but his rookie status was upped a notch with his recent win in the WSOP’s $1,500 Limit Hold'em event. Not only did Kianoush Abolfathi walk away with the event’s World Series of Poker bracelet, he also got to take home the poker prize of $335,289.
After three days of intense limit poker action, it was ten of diamonds with six of spades that secured Kianoush Abolfathi the WSOP victory against Eric Buchman. Before this year’s $1,500 Limit Hold'em event, Kianoush Abolfathi’s best finish was a 9th place performance at the 2006 Sport of Kings No-Limit Hold'em poker tournament.
