Ken Loughlin
I am 29 years old and was born and raised in Queens NY. I am currently living in Long Island NY. My father was a gambling man who taught me to play poker at around the same age I learned to count. It was mostly 7-card stud and its crazy wild card variations. I Started getting serious about the game in 2002, playing in various home games, local card clubs as well as casinos a couple times a month. My biggest win prior to the Hollywood Poker WSOP Freeroll to Fame was a $1500 first place finish at a card club. It was a $100 buy-in No Limit Hold ‘Em tournament. I normally play $100 and under tournaments, 4-8 Limit Hold ‘Em, 1-2 or 2-5 No Limit Hold ‘Em, and 5-10 Stud. Hopefully those limits will be rising if my current streak of good fortune continues.
Though mainly a live player, Hollywood Poker is my exclusive home in cyberspace after a friend recommended the site. I’ve been on the site for about a year, mostly dumping a few bucks while I adjusted to the different skill set involved in Internet poker. Taking down the Freeroll to Fame was my biggest win ever…and thanks to that great promotion, I am now a winning player on Hollywood Poker. I’d always hoped to get into the Main Event "one day", and due to Hollywood Poker, that day is here. I am determined to put on a good showing and bring the championship to Team Hollywood Poker.
