Hollywood Poker's own James Woods played at the $2,000 No Limit Hold'em Shootout event at the 2006 World Series of Poker. James made it through to day two, and came in 56th overall. David Pham went on to take the 1st place spot for $240,222 and a WSOP Gold Bracelet.
Woods was short stacked early in the event, but took a decisive lead at his table a little later. He was holding 90% of the chips and eventually worked the table down to heads up play. Woods was overheard to say "I really want to cash in a World Series of Poker event, so don't make me come over there and beat the crap out of you."
After winning the table, James was through to day two. It was on day two, when the blinds went up to $500/1,000 that James Woods busted out - around the same time as poker legend Chris Ferguson, but still in the money, earning $4,805.
Congratulations to James Woods for a strong showing at Event 25, and for turning the screws on some great players.
