Card Player Magazine has secured their spot in the media as one of the main poker news sources of the upcoming World Series of Poker. The 18-year-old poker magazine recently announced that they have reached an agreement with Harrah's Entertainment and the WSOP. The deal makes Card Player Magazine the official magazine and content provider of the annual poker event – the World Series of Poker.
The deal ensures that Card Player Magazine will have exclusive rights to all of this year’s WSOP events. The poker news magazine’s website will feature live up-to-date World Series of Poker news. Readers will be able to find out live hand reports from the floor, while streaming video from the WSOP can also be seen viewed on the Card Player website.
The World Series of Poker’s website will be filled with content from the Card Player, the magazine will also print a daily newsletter that will be circulated around the WSOP, it will contain the latest information for the players and fans.
"Working with the World Series of Poker once again demonstrates Card Player's commitment to providing the world's premier poker multimedia coverage and we are excited to once again be the official magazine of the World Series of Poker," explained Card Player Media chairman Barry Shulman.
The same opinion is shared by Jeffrey Pollack, the World Series of Poker commissioner and vice president of sports and entertainment marketing for Harrah's.
"Card Player Media has continued to earn its reputation as 'The Poker Authority' and we believe they will be instrumental in the WSOP experience," said Jeffrey Pollack.
