I first became interested in poker after I graduated from High School. I usually played every night with my roomates from college with whatever tip money we had made that night. The games usually ended with one guy having everyone else’s money. For the most part everyone that played would have their nights. Looking back at it, all of us were terrible poker players. Most of the guys that I played with then, I still play with now from time to time, and we have definitely improved over the years. I also began playing at a nearby casino. At the time you only had to be 18 to get in (it still is 18 I believe). I found out that I lost my money slower by playing poker than blackjack so I didn’t play anything but 7 card stud. Now I play a little of everything, but 7 stud was my original game. I currently play at the Detroit area casinos as well as my original stomping grounds in Mt. Pleasant, MI.
I first started playing on Hollywood Poker about 6 months ago. I signed up for the site basically because of the big sign up bonus. I am glad I did because when I signed up thru Poker Listings, I received a ticket into the freeroll that gave me the WSOP seat. I do enjoy playing the celebrity poker nights that are offered at the site when I have the time, but I usually stick to the ring games. I would definitely consider myself a poker junkie; when I am not at work, I am usually playing online or at a casino and since I am not married and do not have any children, I have the time to do so.
