Kevin Nealon got his start in the show business industry at the ever-successful, Saturday Night Live. His comedic performances while on the show led to movie parts in films such as Steve Martin's Roxanne and Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore. After leaving SNL in 1995, Nealon has taken part in quite a few productions, the latest of which is the Showtime comedy, "Weeds."
The show centers on a suburban mother who, faced with financial obligation due to her husband's sudden death, turns to selling Marijuana to make ends meet. Our hero, Nancy Botwin, uses a fake bakery to move the drugs, and relies upon her Brother-in-Law Andy to help keep things going. Nancy struggles to keep her new income secret from her best friend, and Parent-Teacher Association President, Celia. There are also the rigors of being a regular mother, such as a child who constantly gets into trouble. Kevin Nealon plays the city councilman, Doug Wilson, who continually wants to buy Nancy's supply of the narcotic. The setting is a fictional suburb in California.
The show was Showtime's highest rated show in 2005, and the second season is currently underway. You can play poker with Kevin Nealon and find out more about Weeds at Hollywood Poker.
