 Hollywood Poker’s Neil Patrick Harris plays Barney on the new CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother. The show is a comedy about the character Ted (Josh Radnor) and the story of how he fell in love. The entire series is narrated through flashbacks, demonstrating a departure from the usual sitcom style.
The character of Barney helps Ted on his journey to find true love, often spouting his numerous and sometimes outrageous opinions. Barney has a penchant for fine suits and is of course, already a master at how to meet and pick up women. This role has been kind to Neil, helping him toward being named one of People’s magazine’s “sexiest men alive.”
Neil Patrick Harris has been acting on the screen since he was 11 years old. He has been a part of many successful productions and was even the recipient of a Golden Globe nomination for his performance as Doogie Howser, M.D.
