HollywoodPoker's celebrity players' Yancey Arias was chosen by marlt089 after winning the opportunity to go one-on-one with a HollywoodPoker celebrity, at an exclusive tournament for PokerListings players' last July.
He seems to be a very nice guy. Every time we see him at the tables he is very kind to all players and chats a lot," commented martl089 when asked why he selected Yancey over more than 300 Hollywood celebrities who frequent our tables.
The results of the face-off was even more thrilling with both players checking right down to the river where the action began. Yancey went all-in with 2-K hole cards against the board's K-J-K-5-7, for a gorgeous Three-Of-A-Kind killer that unfortunately was short lived with marlt089 revealing his 7 pair pocket cards a second later, going home happy with a Full House win! Awesome work marlt089!!
Yancey has been busy, because he's also starring alongside HollywoodPoker celebrity Erik Palladino in action thriller, Hotel California. This intriguing movie follows the lives of organised crime 'families' and their tight clutch on members whose lives continuously revolve around their trade and the consequences of failing to deliver - making the movie's tagline of Loyalty...Betrayal...Revenge, particularly accurate.
Hotel California tracks closely the life of rookie drug smuggler Troy, who turns on his crime boss and is subsequently forced to flee LA ONLY to return two years later on a mission to reclaim what is rightfully his, together with his former partners setting the stage for an explosive encounter where past and present collide.
"Hotel CA" is a film that I enjoyed shooting for its very intense story line, and interesting style of movie making. My character in the movie is a drug lord but his challenges and losses allow the audience to sympathize with his point of view. Excellent actors joined this project and I enjoyed working with all of them." commented Yancey, who we managed to catch up with before Hotel California premiered.
