New Jersey State Trooper reject Paul Blart is a mild-mannered, dutiful single father who works as an overzealous, Segway mounting, security guard in a New Jersey mall. Paul, who takes his mall job way too seriously with his over-enthusiasm and extreme dedication, draws contempt from his colleagues and the mall employees.
However, when his daughter and his sweetheart are taken hostage in the mall by a gang of organized robbers on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving and the busiest shopping day of the year), Paul swings into action to save the day and earn the respect he so deserves.
Among those Paul saves is Steven Rannazzisi's character Stuart who is a pen shop owner in the mall. Stuart whose daily mission is to give Paul a hard time ends up a hostage and begs Paul to save him.
This hilarious comedy also stars Kevin James (Hitch), Keir O'Donnell (The Break-Up), Jayma Mays (Epic Movie) and Erick Avari (The Mummy).
