 New Moon is a young adult, romance movie between a vampire and a mortal. On Bella Swan's 18TH birthday, her love interest, Edward Cullen and his vampire family throw her a celebration. She unwraps a gift and gets a paper cut, which blood tempted Jasper, Edward's adopted brother, to attempt to kill her. In Edward's desire to protect her, he ends the relationship and move away from Forks, Washington. His departure leaves Bella depressed and heart-broken.
In the months that follow, after realizing that Edward speaks to her during dangerous times, Bella indulges in thrill-seeking activities. She also seeks comfort in her deepening friendship with Jacob Black. Bella soon discovers that Jacob is part of a tribe who forms into a pack of gigantic wolves when he rescued Bella from villain vampires, Laurent and Victoria. Bella is caught up in a whirlwind of events, including one of Edward's that she would never be pleased to be in. But in the end, Edward gives her a choice she can never resist.
