We all know that James Woods is a talented actor and a mean poker player, but did you know he could also save a television show? The CBS Drama 'Shark' was dead in the water until network execs were finally able to bring Spike Lee and James Woods on board. Though renowned for his big screen work, "Shark" marks Woods' first foray into a television series. Spike Lee agreed to shoot the pilot after coming off directing his feature "Inside Man".
Imagine TV and 20th Century Fox TV are sponsoring the pilot, which stars Woods as a celebrity attorney in L.A who decides to become a prosecutor instead. With Lee and Woods attached to the project, a new hope is born for "Shark", revitalizing a project that CBS seemed to loose faith in until now.
Woods won Emmys for his roles in the telefilms "Promise" and "My Name Is Bill W." and was nominated for an Oscar for "Ghosts of Mississippi" and "Salvador." The actor most recently appeared in an episode of NBC's "ER".
