James Woods is renowned as the bad boy of Hollywood. It's only fitting then that the NFL chose him to promote one of their toughest and potentially most controversial games this season - The Eagles vs. The Cowboys game last Monday night. James is well known for his quick, rambling, and witty banter, and in this spot he really throws it into high gear, evoking early Dennis Leary rants. Like Dennis, James is able to wind up the viewer, and he makes even non-football fans excited about seeing the game. This is the kind of fire and charisma that makes James Woods a star, and Hollywood Poker is proud to have him on board. As for the game - well, with Tyrell Owens out (told he was no longer welcome) that was one less thing for the Eagles to worry about, but when Donavan McNabb went down due to an injury, the outlook appeared gloomy. Two earlier Cowboys' touchdowns (21 seconds apart) had put them ahead. The Eagles had a final chance to surpass the Cowboys after McNabb was pulled, but David Akers’ 60-yard field goal attempt failed miserably. The Cowboys stunned the Eagles with a 21-20 win. James Woods was right... there were some great battles on the field.
