Hollywood Poker is extremely proud to announce that four of our celebrity poker players have been nominated for Emmy Awards. James Woods, Jean Smart, Cheryl Hines and Gregory Itzin will be making their way down the red carpet at this year’s Emmy Awards.
James Woods caused television viewers from around the world to grab their tissue boxes with his highly acclaimed guest performance on ER. The episode featured James playing the role of Dr. Nate Lennox, a doctor dealing with the later stages of ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The performance not only earned James an Emmy nomination, but won him the praise of television viewers from around the country.
Most would agree that 24 is one of the most intense and action packed television shows around. Just ask Hollywood Poker players and 24 cast members Jean Smart and Gregory Itzin. Both Hollywood stars can now add ‘Emmy nominated actors’ to their resumes, with both earning respective nominations in the Best Supporting Actor/Actress in a Drama Series categories.
We have found out that Cheryl Hines is not only a hilarious actress, but she is also a great poker player. Cheryl Hines is nominated for the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work as Cheryl David in the HBO hit show Curb Your Enthusiasm. Cheryl plays the fictional wife of Larry David, in the highly acclaimed and gut-busting comedy.
