HollywoodPoker Celebrity Player, Dick Van Patten stars in hysterically amusing comedy, Opposite Day, that gives children a taste of what's it like to rein over the world with adults carefully placed under their care! It looks like the children weren't impressed after all!
Opposite Day, the perfect movie for the holiday season follows nine-year-old Sammy and his eight-year-old sister on their vacation with their grandparents in the mountains. On the first night of their long-awaited holiday of which their work - loaded parents promised but alas couldn't deliver, Sammy makes a wish for the tables to be turned having children rule the world believing that they'd do a much better job than adults. Little did he know wishes were to be made with caution!
Meanwhile, back home Sammy's friend Chas is being used as part of his father's ambitious experiment to decode the language of babies, but the experiment goes terrible wrong. When the decoder machine explodes, a thrust of energy and elements are released into town and the personalities of kids and adults reverse, resulting in a town run by KIDs! Sammy, Carla, and their grandparents return from their vacation to find the world is a much "different" place. Sammy is determined to try to enjoy and take advantage of the situation for as long as possible while Carla is apprehensive about the change.
Together they discover that being responsible "adults" isn't as fun as they had imagined. Pitted against their old friend Chas who wants to turn this freak accident into a permanent global phenomenon, the siblings have to learn to trust each other, and to learn that all the rules of growing up are in place to help you grow up right! Dick is set to star alongside French Stewart (The Closer), Pauly Shore (Pauly Shore Is Dead) and Renee Taylor (Ice Age: The Meltdown) in this splendid comedy, set to be released early 2009!
