Seven Pounds follows the life of Ben, an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) agent who cannot come to terms with his nefarious past. He now faces the overwhelming guilt that is constantly haunting him, making it almost unbearable for him to live. Depressed and dejected, he finds that the only way to quieten his conscience is to make amends for his wrong doings. This, he does by helping seven total strangers in whatever way he can. In the midst of forging redemption however, Ben unexpectedly finds himself falling in love with a beautiful young lady who is suffering from a fatal heart condition.
