500 Days of Summer is an offbeat romantic comedy that debuted at the Sundance Film Festival back in January to rave reviews. This postmodern depiction of the classic tale of love unrequited follows Tom, a would-be architect turned sappy greeting card writer who encounters Summer, his boss' beautiful new secretary, fresh off the plane from Michigan. Though seemingly out of his league, Tom is hopelessly smitten and is not only in love with Summer, he is also in love with the very idea of Summer. Now Summer, however, is a young woman who is adamant that true love does not exist. Despite this, Tom relentlessly pursues her.
This love story aptly tagged - Boy meets Girl, Boy falls in love, Girl doesn't - is first-time director Marc Webber's pleasantly surprising dissection of a romance.
On July 17th, join Clark Gregg, together with Zooey Deschanel (Yes Man), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Killshot), Matthew Gray Gubler (Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Squeakuel), Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights), Rachel Boston (Ghosts of Girlfriends Past), and Yvette Nicole Brown (The Ugly Truth) in this delightfully well written film.
In 2010 you will see Clark back on the big screens in fellow HollywoodPoker Celebrity Player Jon Favreau's Iron Man 2 as Agent Phil Coulson alongside original cast members Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow who reprise their roles as Tony Stark/Iron Man and Pepper Potts respectively. Iron Man 2 is currently filming.
