Yancey Arias

Biography

Not only is Yancey Arias fortunate enough to be an incredibly talented actor, he's also fortunate enough to come from a background that supported his dreams from the very beginning. Yancey has always credited his family, friends and teachers as being a constant source of encouragement. He kicked off his dramatic career in high-school by appearing in commercials and doing voice-overs. In college, he began some film work and in 1992, he landed a role in Broadway's Miss Saigon as an understudy and ensemble member. He would eventually take over the principle role of Thuy, where he earned rave reviews.

After his Broadway debut, Yancey was well on his way to an auspicious acting career. In the next 8 years, Yancey would appear in 27 film, theatre and television productions, including New York Undercover, NYPD Blue, One Life to Live, Law and Order, Swift Justice, CSI Miami, CSI Vegas, The Shield, Promised Land, The Sopranos, The Education of Matt Waters, Criminal Justice and Destination Unknown - a film he starred in and co-produced and which won the 1997 award for Best Independent in the Hampton Film Festival.

Some of his other memorable film credits include NBC's mini-series, King Pin and Dreamworks', Time Machine.
