Tom Everett Scott
Biography
We're lucky to have Tom - especially since he planned to end his acting aspirations after high-school and pursue a more pragmatic career. He attended Syracuse University where he took a communications course, but the acting bug kept itching, so in his sophomore year, he switched his major to theatre.
In the fashion of many actors before, Tom moved to New York after graduation, waited tables and hoped to be discovered. The difference between Tom and the many other actors, of course, is that he was discovered.
Tom Hanks cast him in what would be his breakthrough film role in 1996's, That Thing You Do. Tom went on to star in movies like An American Werewolf in Paris and Dead Man on Campus and he appeared in films such as The Love Letter and Boiler Room.
Tom has also appeared in televisions shows like ER and Law & Order.
