Ronny Cox

Biography

Ronny Cox is a respected actor and musician. His career as an actor kicked off with Deliverance. You'll probably recognize him as the guy with the guitar. Believe it or not, not only was this Ronny's first role, it was also his first time in front of a camera. Pretty impressive - dueling banjos has haunted generations of wayward campers.

In addition to Deliverance, Ronny also appeared in Bound for Glory, The Onion Field with James Woods, Taps, Beverly Hills Cop, RoboCop and Total Recall.

Some of his most notable TV appearances include his role as the captain of the ship on Star Trek: The Next Generation for two episodes.

Ronny's music style is a stellar combination of jazz, western, blues and folk and he has released several albums, including Ronny Cox Live, Cowboy Savant and the cleverly titled, Acoustic Eclectricity.
