Paul McCrane

Biography

Paul McCrane is familiar to most people as Rocket Romano, the character he played for 6 years on the TV series ER.

Paul began his acting career at age 15, appearing in The Physicists at McCarter Theater in Princeton, NJ. He worked extensively in Broadway, Off-B'way and regional theatre.

His first substantial film role was in the movie Fame. Subsequent films include The Hotel New Hampshire, RoboCop and The Shawshank Redemption. He's appeared in numerous TV productions, including The X-Files, The Practice and HBO's mini-series From the Earth to the Moon.

A few years ago, Paul started directing television. His credits include episodes of ER, Without A Trace, Law & Order: SVU, The West Wing, and Close To Home.

	Paul recently directed an episode of Law & Order: SVU as well as the season finale of Close to Home. You can look forward to watching Paul on the popular television series 24.
