Biography
This handsome Texan from San Antonio is currently making waves on TV and on the competive poker scene. Not only is Nick's stardom reaching new heights in Fox's new medical series Mental, Nick's poker stardom is also on the rise. Nick walked away with a cool $50,000 after finishing second place at the 2009 World Poker Tour (WPT) Celebrity Invitational after a nail-biting heads up with poker pro Freddy Deeb.
Fans of Nick remember him best as professional boxer Alex Santiago, in the Showtime series Resurrection Blvd. plus acclaimed performances on TV shows like Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, Law and Order: SVU, That 70's Show, Emmy-nominated American Family and The O.C. Nicholas has also appeared in box-office features such as Dirty, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, Spun and Scenes of the Crime.
This talented and gifted performer is a Stanford graduate who takes his responsibility as Latino role model seriously, making time in his busy schedule for his growing fan base and charity work, and volunteering his time to organizations such as the National Hispanic Institute and The Friends of El Faro.
When he's away from the cameras, Nick enjoys poker (of course), playing golf, video games, and working out. He is also a voracious reader, consuming as many as two books a week.

Nick has just wrapped filming 13 episodes of Mental, Fox TV Studio's first original U.S. English-language television series shot in Bogata, Colombia. His castmates in this highly-anticipated medical drama series include Chris Vance (Prison Break), Annabella Sciorra (The Sopranos) Marisa Ramirez (The Young and The Restless) and Jacqueline McKenzie (The 4400). Also look for Nick in the upcoming feature release, Por Vida (with Danny Glover and Snoop Dog).
