His albums have gone multi-platinum, he's won a Grammy for Best Rock Vocal and he's captivated generations of listeners with his distinctively alluring tenor croon. We've come to expect nothing less from rock and roll icon, Meat Loaf.
Since the 1977 release of 'Bat out of Hell', he's produced 8 other albums and 70 million records with some of the biggest names in showbiz.
Somewhere in between his demanding musical career, he found time to exercise his skills as an actor. His first notable role - and arguably most memorable - was that of 'Eddie' in the cult-classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Meatloaf went on to give stellar performances in over 40 other films including, Crazy in Alabama, Focus, The 51st State and Fight Club.
What many people don't know is that his acting career started long before his musical career. Meat Loaf spent 6 years as a stage actor in New York City and performed in several on and off-Broadway shows, including two Shakespeare plays in Central Park for the New York Public Theatre.
