Kirk Acevedo

Biography

Kirk, a Brooklyn, New York native who grew up in the Bronx, will soon be seen starring opposite Mark Wahlberg in Disney's new drama, Invincible. Kirk has also starred in such feature films as The New World, Dinner Rush, The Thin Red Line, for which he was feted with an ALMA award, Bait, Boiler Room, No Bait, Kirk and Kerry and 5up 2down.
He recently finished a 2-episode arc on Fox's 24 and is well known for his performance as Staff Sgt. Joseph Toye on the mini-series, Band of Brothers. Kirk's television credits also include his CableACE-nominated role as Miguel Alvarez in the series Oz as well as Law & Order: Trial by Jury, NYPD Blue and Third Watch. Kirk was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for his performance in Sam Shepard's Tooth of Crime.

	Kirk will be appearing in 'Invincible', a new film from the producers of 'The Rookie'. The movie will star Mark Wahlberg as a Philadelphia Eagles fan who has just lost his wife and his teaching job.
