Jimmy Van Patten
Biography
New York native, Jimmy Van Patten is living proof that the apple never falls far from the tree. By age 9, he was already following in the footsteps of his father when he became a professional child actor.
A few of his most notable childhood roles include his casting as a reform school boy in the television series, The Odd Couple, his appearance as Bo-Chishlom in The Chisholms opposite Robert Preston and his starring role in Poison – a comedy series created by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s company, Imagine Entertainment.
His career was not limited to television alone. Jimmy also appeared in over 30 motion pictures, such as The Apple Dumpling Gang, Freaky Friday with Jodie Foster, Roller Boogie, Lifeguard, California Dreaming, Young Warriors with Ernest Borgnine, Mel Brooks productions Life Stinks and Robin Hood Men in Tights. Jimmy was also directed by Keenan Ivory Wayans in, Don’t be a menace in south central while drinking your juice in the Hood.
Some of Jimmy’s other projects have included his movie, Dirty Tennis, which he wrote for MCA and which won the New York and VSDA Awards for “Best Comedy Video of the Year 1990”. Jimmy also wrote and produced a feature film comedy The Flunky starring himself, Gena Lee Nolin, and Farrah Fawcett.
Of course, Jimmy is also a force to be reckoned with at the poker tables and has showed some serious savvy in tournaments at Hollywood Poker!

Jimmy just completed writing the stage version of "The Flunky" for Broadway. Book and Lyrics by Jimmy Van Patten/ Music By Deborah Gibson. He wrote and Produced the film version with his brother Vince. Jimmy works full time every day with Deborah on this very exciting project!
