Jessalyn Gilsig

Biography

After refining her acting talents at Harvard University's esteemed American Repertory Theatre, Jessalyn has moved on to appear in some of the most acclaimed television drama series, including Nip/Tuck and this year's hit, Prison Break. Her incredible talents prompted creator of Boston Public, David E. Kelly, to design the character Lauren Davis with Jessalyn in mind. She has garnered much respect for her portrayal of this strong-willed Social Studies teacher. Other notable television appearances include a reoccurring role on Snoops, The Practice and NYPD Blue.

Feature film roles include The Horse Whisperer, with Robert Redford and Showtime's A Cooler Climate, with Sally Field.

When Jessalyn is not acting, she enjoys painting. One of her pieces recently appeared in the acclaimed film, The Stone Agent.
