Gary Carter
Biography
Baseball Hall of Famer, Gary Carter (also known as The Kid), has made a name for himself as a force to be reckoned with on the field. His enthusiastic and energetic style of play made him a valuable defensive and offensive force and won him an impressive array of awards, including the All-Star Game MVP, which he won twice and the Gold Glove, which he won 3 times. In his 19 season Major League Baseball career, Gary hit an amazing 324 homeruns and his unparalleled field play prompted teammate Keith Hernandez to describe him as "a human backstop".
Though he spent the majority of his baseball career playing for the Montreal Expos (1974 - 1984, 1992), he also made a name for himself with the New York Mets (1985 -1989), the San Francisco Giants (1990) and the Los Angeles Dodgers (1991).
