Dennis Quaid
Biography
At age 20, Dennis Quaid left his studies in Texas to venture to Los Angeles in pursuit of an acting career and join his older brother, Randy Quaid. After a year, Dennis got noticed and began to get parts in films. His first notable film was 1979's, Breaking Away and then he got his big break in 1983's The Right Stuff, where he played astronaut, Gordon Cooper.
Some of Dennis' more recent film credits consist of Traffic, The Alamo, The Day After Tomorrow and In Good Company.
You'll probably also recognize Dennis for his role in as the unruly crooner, Jerry Lee Lewis in the hit, Great Balls of Fire. This film capitalized another of Dennis' talents: music. Dennis has established himself as a gifted musician and plays with his band, 'The Sharks'.

Dennis is working with the International Hospital for Children in New Orleans to help under-privileged and neglected children. Hollywood Poker has joined Dennis and is donating money from its Hurricane Relief tournaments to the International Hospital for Children.
