Biography

New York born Anthony Azizi, with his distinctive Iranian good looks, is no stranger to the screens starring in a host of cult television drama serials and box office movies. He currently has an astounding repertoire in Los Angeles where he now resides.

Anthony attended Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania, U.S. on a soccer scholarship where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre.

 

He then went on to co-find his own theater company, The Clandestine Group. Having an inclination towards acting he left New York to begin his acting career in Hollywood and as they say the rest is history!

A proud member of political drama series "Commander in Chief", he has received accolades for his role as Vince Taylor, Chief Aide to the President of the United States played by Geena Davis. His controversial character as a HIV-positive, homosexual of Palestinian/American descent showcased Anthony's diverse acting skills, making him a casting director's dream.

Anthony's stellar performance in the first season of "24" was so well-received, he was asked to return to join the cast in season three as an entirely different character. He has also held recurring roles on hit serials "JAG", "Threat Matrix", "Lost" and guest starred on "Desperate Housewives", "Strong Medicine", "Criminal Minds", "The Agency", and acclaimed multi Emmy winning series "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation".

Onto the golden screens, Anthony's film credits include roles in "Three Kings" alongside George Clooney, "McHale's Navy" with Tom Arnold and "Tomcats" with Jerry O'Connell. He has also endeavored into independent movies, starring in poignant fantasy drama "Wristcutters: A Love Story" a hilarious after death love story as well as "AmericanEast", a drama surrounding the co-mingling of Middle Eastern race and religion in the very American City of Angels - Los Angeles.

Apart from his great passion for acting, Anthony is also a big-hearted philanthropist who has always kept the fight for women's rights close to heart, understanding that in many parts of the world women are and have been oppressed. He believes programs featuring strong women can play a part in promoting women's rights and reflect the role they can play in the world. In the same breath he has chosen to use his fame as a catalyst to promote the issue.

Fans will be able to catch Anthony in adrenaline pumping thriller "Eagle Eyes", where he plays Turan the head of a terrorist operation unit that masterminds a twisted political assassination - scheduled for release on September 26, 2008.
